LLOYD DAUGHTERY NUMBER ONE IN HIS RADIO PROGRAM

It is starting to look as if "The Voice" radio program may soon be the number one local radio program in this market on the AM dial. Lloyd, Kelvin equally talk about the GOP and DEMS. It's not always pretty...actually it is seldom pretty. Lloyd talks southern...so we can understand him. He even speaks grammar well, unlike a local political chairman hack.

SURPRISE-SURPRISE-SURPRISE

Did it really surprise you that gasoline went up 11 cents per gallon the day after the election??

Those Senate campaigns must be paid for...I guess.

WHERE IS GEORGE?

I received a call today from a Mrs. Concerned Citizen. Her question to me was ...Where has George Korda been the last few weeks?

I advised her to go quickly to Ingle's Market...go to the dairy department...and look on a carton of Blueband Milk for a picture. George surely can be found soon.

It has been a while since he has been seen.

JOB NEWS

In case anyone is interesed...in the October 16, 2006 edition of "JOB NEWS" ...Weigel's has a job opening for "RELIEF MANANGERS." (whatever that is)

ROBERT BRATTON...THE MAN!

While Robert Bratton has been called everything from a "lunatic" to a "great thinker,” he has never been called a "good listener."

You see, Bratton is ALWAYS thinking about his next statement. A few years back at a local community fair Bratton said the following: "If you aren't p-----g people off, you aren't makin' progress."

Based on that statement, Bratton has made a lot of progress. Bratton does seem to be the most intense person in the political world of Knox. He is keen on the issues of our county. He certainly knows as much about Knox County Schools as anyone around. He is a person willing to assist anyone. It doesn't matter if you are from his district or not. Now, that is hard to find in a public official. It doesn't matter to Bratton if the issue is small or large... if it is important enough for someone to contact him, he helps.

For this I say "hats off" to Robert Bratton.

The next time you see Bratton ask him about cows running into a proposed electric fence that will be constructed on the United States and Mexico border. As you know, there is a lot of cow smuggling coming into the USA.
